Marc Adami writes, Here is a ‘heads up’ for this month’s upcoming Whiteside Forum event, so you can get ready. We will read American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America, by Colin Woodard, shown at left.
We will discuss the book and the current state of our Union, on Thursday night, February 28, 2019, starting at 6:30 p.m., in the Program Room of the Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL.
We hope [the public] can read the book and be the ‘expert[s],’ but if time is a constraint, there is a link to a C-Span video below. [The] one-hour presentation by Colin Woodard does give you the basics. The other link is the author’s own website and has a brief description of the book.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event. All political viewpoints are encouraged to participate in a literal forum.

Adami added, “Thank you to Chuck and Sally Finley who gave us a great presentation on their formation sky diving sport and a sampling of their international travels, to a small, but enthusiastic, crowd who braved the cold, rugged weather[, on Thursday, January 24]. Thank you!”
Stay warm and read.
