Odell Public Library and the Odell Public Library Friends’ group is readying for its annual Book and Bake Sale. It will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in the Community Room at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL. Odell will be accepting gently-used books beginning Tuesday, September 5, until Monday, October 30.
Please share with Odell those books that have been read and are no longer wanted. Search the shelves in your homes. Your discarded book may become someone else’s favorite read. Ask your children to clean out their outgrown books.
Proceeds from the resale of these books will enable the library to purchase new books for both adults and children.
All genres are needed, in hardcover or paperback:
- westerns
- mysteries
- romance
- espionage
- science-fiction
- biography
- history
- travel
- religion
- gardening
- health
- cooking
- children’s storybooks and pre-readers
- books suitable for all elementary ages and pre-teens.
The Odell Public Library asks that no magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, or moldy/dirty books, be brought to the library. They cause a hardship for the library, because they must be disposed of or recycled.
Odell’s Book and Bake Sale is the library’s biggest fundraiser! Put the date on the calendar: Saturday, November 4.
