Gary Meden to Speak at Whiteside Forum

altThe Whiteside Forum presents “Think Global, Act Local:  Transportation” on Thursday, February 28, 2013, in the Program Room of the Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, at 6:30 p.m.  Guest speaker is Gary Meden, at left, Deputy for Programs and Project Management, Rock Island District, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.  

According to the Corps’ website, “the primary purpose of the Rock Island District is to partner with stakeholders in the management of the watersheds of the District, in order to meet the National and regional needs of navigation, flood risk management, emergency management, ecosystem restoration and regulation, recreation, water supply, land management, and National security.”  
 
Gary is a graduate of the U. S. Military Academy, West Point, and has Masters degrees in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, and Strategic Studies from the University of Illinois, Indiana University, and the U. S. Army War College.  Don has been a designated Professional Engineer since 1986.
