On Saturday, November 7, 2015, the Community Room at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL, was transformed into a huge bookstore. Rows of books, both fiction and non-fiction, lined the room.
Selling for 50¢ and 25¢, this was a reader’s paradise!
Friends of Odell Public Library worked for two days unpacking boxes of donated books, arranging them into alphabetical groupings by subject–from animals, biography, children’s picture books and stories, history, mystery, to romance and western.
Before entering the Community Room, the entryway was arrayed with a large variety of baked goods, donated by local bakers and cooks.
The Book and Bake Sale was a resounding success, raising a total of $1270 for the library. Friends of Odell Public Library thank all who contributed, either by donating or purchasing.
