If Paint The Town festivities are designed to entertain all ages, and that is exactly what the day has done for over 18 years, then all ages should be able to find their food of preference while spending the day in beautiful, historic, downtown Morrison, IL.
The menus that are available up and down Main Street will tempt the most dedicated dieter and cause the strongest wills to weaken at the smells that hover amongst the creative format of downtown Morrison. Regardless of where your square(s) are located, you can be sure that a food vendor is within steps, waiting to serve the hungry and provide liquid for the thirsty.
- The East Main Food court will have the Seahorse Swim Team supporters grilling burgers and dogs and offering dill pickles and drinks to finish your meal. The Chill Shack will also be in the East Court, with shaved ice and drinks to keep everyone hydrated throughout the day.
- The Main Food Court at Geneseo Street will be loaded with concessions to keep everyone’s creative juices flowing. Granny’s Sugar Shack will return this year with funnel cakes, kettle corn, doughnuts, fried Oreos, and drinks. Lori’s Lunch Wagon has a hot grill preparing pork tenderloins, corn dogs, fried Twinkies, elephant ears, and fried candy bars. The Morrison High School track team will be offering walking tacos for the mobile eater. First Baptist Church will be creative in their own way by offering you a baked potato with your choice of toppings.
- Don’t leave the downtown before you check the menus at the West Food Court. Here the Morrison cheerleaders will be serving “Slushies”, and the Kiwanis will be inviting you to try their brats, pork chops, or hot dogs.
If the selections being offered on the street concessions don’t catch your fancy, you can always grab a seat in one of the many great restaurants lining Main Street.
Paint The Town this year will be held on Saturday, September 21, beginning at noon. It will be a day of creative festivities where friends, neighbors, and strangers mingle in a fun atmosphere to share their interest in art. The food selection being offered throughout the day is just a “bonus” for all attending.
