The Fulton, IL, Chamber of Commerce would like you to celebrate the autumn season. “A Harvest of Memories” will take place in Downtown Fulton, at Fulton Fall Fest on Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Enjoy a car show, live bands, and seasonal food like caramel corn, caramel apples, grilled chops, chicken, burgers, brats, etc. For the kids there will be gunny sack races, pumpkin painting, make-and take crafts, inflatable rides, and many more games. A list of the activities and their times will be located on scarecrows along the downtown, in addition to being posted on the City website.
The streets will be decorated with corn stalks, pumpkins, gourds, and decorated planters. A Craft Show will be at the Robert Fulton Community Center along with outdoor vendors lining the streets. Begin the day with either a 4-mile or 7-mile Color/Run/Walk at 10:00. There will be two routes; you choose yours. Registration for this can be found on www.getmeregistered.com. A downhill two block, Soap Box Derby will wind things down.
2016 Fees:
- Color Ride/Run/Walk are $10 per person.
- The Soap Box Derbies (with three classes, 6-11, 12-17, and 18+) are $10 per driver, per car entered or $5 per run if no car is brought. Helmets are required for all drivers, none will be supplied.
- Craft Fair Vendors and Food Vendors receive a 10 x10 space for $25; set up begins at 8:00 am. Late registration fees apply.
Additional activities will be taking place in other areas of Fulton on this day that will have a fall theme. Visit Heritage Canyon Saturday as well as Sunday, September 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.
Revenues generated from this event go to the Fulton Chamber of Commerce. This allows us to continue free festivals for the general public and our membership. The Chamber is a self-sufficient and stand-alone nonprofit group, currently functioning on volunteers’ efforts.
