On Wednesday, June 15, 2015, The Fulton Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Dinner for members. Dinner took place at King Pins, a new member of the Chamber. Food was catered by the Fulton Meat Market, located in Fulton, IL. Many members of the Chamber were in attendance.
Prototypes for potentially new Downtown Christmas light decorations were presented, created by J. T. Cullen, Kustom Metal, and Wilson’s Floral. A 50/50 raffle was held, and tickets were sold for the Chamber’s long draw raffle.
President Karrie Kenney discussed the progress of the Fulton Chamber and directions the group is headed with support from the business community.
A moment of silence was held to acknowledge four members who have passed–Ed Kolk, Nancy Kolk, Len Janis, and Bill Brinkman–and their contributions to Fulton and the Chamber of Commerce were recognized.
Plaques were presented to the Board of Directors by Board members for each member’s terms of service:
- Karrie Kenney (2014-2016)
- Joe Wendel (2016)
- Lisa Shaw (2014-2016.) Shaw was awarded Volunteer of the Year.
After the meeting closed, a live dessert auction began. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales and the dessert auction will benefit the Fulton Chamber of Commerce and their mission.
