University of Illinois Extension will host a Fruit Tree Pruning workshop on Saturday, January 19, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The location is Super Wash Training Center, 707 W. Lincolnway, and Morrison, IL.
Extension Educators Bruce Black and Grant McCarty will instruct participants in the following:
- basic structure and care of fruit trees
- pruning for production versus tolerance
- general cuts to make in year one
- IPM for beginners
- tools and tricks for pruning success.
