On Saturday, July 13, 2013, two lucky people will ride away with a new bicycle at the Morrison Farmers’ Market. Friends of the Parks announces that one adult and one child’s bike will be given away between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m. at the Market.
In addition, Friends of the Parks will give away doggie bandanas and doggie treats to all four-legged, furry friends who visit the Market on July 13 with their owners. Why not leave the car behind and walk your dog or ride your bike to the Market this week? Riding your bike or walking your dog promotes fun, fitness, and friendship, and are some of the easiest things we can do to boost our metabolism and explore our communities. Walking with your dog lets him or her know that you recognize and appreciate their need to get out and explore. And best of all, it’s free!
The market is open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Located behind Morrison’s Heritage Museum at 202 E. Lincolnway, shoppers can find a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, organic items, iced coffee, Tai cuisine, flowers, baked goods, dog treats, beauty products, and artisan crafts–produced and grown by local vendors. The variety of locally-grown produce such as cherries, green beans, squash, lettuce, kohlrabi, and beets is great! Make this the Saturday you make the market a regular part of your Saturday morning routine!
