Don’t miss this short, but significant, recognition ceremony Friday, August 15, 2014. One reason the Morrison, IL, venue is the only Whiteside County fair of the originial four, is the people who make it happen.
It’s a fairly brief ceremony, but it’s one of the most important events of each year’s fair. This is the “Friend of the Fair” presentation, scheduled before the grandstand, prior to the Tractor & Truck Pull at 6:30 p.m.
The Fair Board has chosen Paul Vock and Dan Heusinkveld as “2014 Friend of the Fair” honorees. Since 1989, the board has sought to honor those who have made an extra effort to support and who make the annual Whiteside County Fair as much fun as possible, for all those who participate and attend the many shows and events.
This year, the board offers its sincere gratitude and appreciation for the many years of service on the board and the friendship with Paul and Dan. They both continue to serve on the board. We want to say “thank you” for their 36 years of service and everything they have done for the Whiteside County Fair.
