Two family films will be shown to the general public at the Dixon Historical Theatre, 114 S. Galena Avenue, Dixon, IL, on the afternoon of Saturday, September 27, 2014.
Sky Lantern Productions, based in Morrison, IL, will present a free feature-length movie on September 27, giving a pleasant and an enjoyable ending to this year’s annual Scarecrow Festival in Dixon. Doors open at 3:00 p.m.
Please join us early. There will be the added showing of “The Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club” at 3:30 p.m. This is a family-friendly short, which features three elderly gentlemen who breakfast together. It will have you laughing and crying.
Following at 4:30 p.m. is the main feature, an award-winning motion picture, “The War Within.” It gives a creative and suspenseful insight to the internal struggle in every person’s life.

“The War Within” won the 2014 Best Gospel Presentation Award at the Christian Worldview Film Festival. It dramatically explores the battle in the soul of Michael Sinclair, a young syndicated cartoonist, whose faith is tested when his whole world falls apart. This unique portrayal reveals his soul as represented by six members: Mind, Emotion, Heart, Will, Memory, and Conscience. The film examines the reality of faith in the midst of testing.
