Recently, Whiteside County has seen an increase in cases of COVID-19. Additionally, all of Region 1 and much of Northern Illinois has been placed into “Warning,” due to an increase in cases having fewer than 20% of the Region’s ICU Beds available. As of Tuesday, April 20, 2021, only 15% of Region 1’s ICU beds are available.
Along with masking and social distancing, testing is an important part of helping to reduce transmission and to lower cases.
Whiteside County Health Department, 1300 W. Second Street, Rock Falls, IL, offers free, no-appointment-necessary, Rapid Testing for COVID-19. These are taken on Friday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
