Food Pantry Changes During Pandemic

3 18donationMorrison Friends Food Pantry at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, will remain “open” their usual hours, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., during the COVID-19 pandemic.  However, clients will not be allowed into the church.  Minimal volunteer staff will be on site to accommodate filling clients’ foodstuff monthly rations.  Clients will park near the north door of the church, on W. Knox Street, to check it.  The required signature sheet will not be signed at this time, to prevent cross-contamination with clipboards/paper/pens.  Staff will use hand sanitizer before they bring the client’s items to their vehicles.

This will prevent any gatherings of over ten people within the church and will protect our clients and our volunteers.

RiverBend Foodbank is following the same protocol for their foodstuff distribution.  This procedure will continue until the social distancing restrictions are lifted by Governor Pritzger.

We ask the “church of the month” to forgo sending volunteers at this time.

Any questions can be directed to Kaywyn Beswick, MFFP Director, at 815-718-5117.
