American Legion Post 328 will have the annual Flag Burning Ceremony on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at Kiwanis Park on N. Genesee Street, in Morrison, IL, approximately at noon. The ritual will happen rain or shine, unless lightning or heavy rain occurs.
The Legion Honor Guard will perform the commencement ceremony, about five minutes of solemness to pay respect for our retired flags. Next is burning of retired flags, which is not an easy task.
Bring flags to the Post, and place then in the Flag Drop Box, at 306 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL. Citizens can deliver them to the park on Sunday.
