The Whiteside County Airport will host training for area first responders on the topic of emergency helicopter operations, on Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. All area first responders and hospital personnel are invited and encouraged to attend. The Whiteside County Airport KSQI is located one half mile south of Interstate 88 (Exit #41), on the east side of IL Route 40, 10950 Hoover Road, Rock Falls, IL.
Mercyhealth REACT, in coordination with Air Methods, will conduct a training seminar for area first responders. Topics to be covered include
- landing site selection and preparation
- signals to be used between ground and flight operations
- helicopter operations safety
- helicopter aircraft orientation.
Training presentation will take place in Hangar D and airport ramp areas, weather and helicopter availability permitting.
