The Morrison, IL, Fire Station was transformed into a gigantic kitchen and restaurant on Sunday, May 19, 2013, serving the annual community breakfast to “over 860 people,” according to Chief Dave Benters. The event hours of 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. allowed early and late risers to enjoy a freshly-cooked meal of pancakes, eggs, sausage, orange juice, milk, and coffee.
Rob Vegter, left, and Kent Shepard were the distribution team when this photograph was taken.
Just outside the north doors, 19 cases of sausage patties were grilled. Shown below, left-to-right, are fry-chefs Andrew Swanstrom and Brian Johnson. Barry Brown assisted, too.
