The Morrison Filies opened the 2013-14 basketball season wilth a dominating win over the Red Storm from United High School 47-11.
The Fillies ran off the first seven points and never looked back while allowing the Red Storm only one second half point. They opend play with a full court “get after ’em’ press and caused eighteen turnovers in the first half. The offensive end of the court saw eight of the nine girls dressed in the scoring column. Lakin Goodman led all scorers with eleven, followed by Ashly Gruel with ten and Allie Kuehl with nine.
The Filllies will return to Galva for game two of the Galva TurkeyTournament on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and play the host Galva team.
