On Friday, April 21, 2023, Bella Duncan (Morrison Fillies) and Jess Johns (Newman Comets) competed in a pitching dual that, unfortunately, someone had to lose.
The dual only allowed four total hits and retired 29 batters by the strikeout. The Fillies combined their two hits to generate two runs in the sixth inning, to record the win 2-0.
Duncan’s single and Kiyah Wolber’s double were the only hits recorded by the Fillies, but the timing provided the margin of victory.
