The Morrison Fillies set the tone with five first inning runsand held the Fulton Lady steamers to three hits to advance to the IHSA Class 2A State Softball Regionals on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Allie Wiersema allowed only a fifth inning run and Lauren Pannier cloaed out the Steamers over the last two innings as Morrison earned a 9-1 victory over the Fulton Lady Steamers. Shannon Finneran collected two of the Morrison seven hits and Wiersema, Finneran and Chelsea Eads each drove in two runs to help the Filies advance to a Saturday morning (11:00 a.m.) Regional Title game against Rock Island Allemen at Bureau Valley High School
