The second game on Monday, April 15, 2013, between the Morrison Fillies and the Riverdale Lady Rams earned the Fillies a 5-0 Conference record, as the offense scored five runs late to finish off the Lady Rams by a score of 8-4.
Both teams sent their starters from game one to the mound, but the results were drastically different. The Fillies totaled twelve hits with Shannon Finneran, Lauren Pannier, and Alyssa Workman each collecting two hits and Chelsea Eads adding a triple to her two singles to round out a productive afternoon tt the plate for the Fillies.
Allie Wiersema hurled the entire seven innings allowing the Rams six singles and a home run, while striking out seven.
Riverdale held a three-run lead entering the bottom of the fifth inning when the Fillies scored two and returned in the sixth to score five more. Wiersema closed out the last two inings for the fifth Conference win without a loss.
