The Morrison Fillies opened the 2014-15 basketball season with a win, at the Galva Invitational Tourney, by defeating the United Red Storm 48-37.
The first quarter advantage of 11-3 was never in jeopardy. The free throw line was a highlight for the Fillies, who connected 11 of 14 attempts. Sophomore Emma Melton hit 8 of 8 in the final quarter to keep the Red Storm at bay.
