Fillies Hold On for Win

basketballThe Morrison High School Fillies left the floor Monday evening, November 30, 2015, with a win in an unusual game of scoring efforts.  The visiting Amboy, IL, Lady Clippers only had four players enter the scoring column.  Their leading scorer ( Doege) scored only two points in their anemic first half, where they scored only ten points. 

On the other end of the floor, the Fillies’ leading scorer (Sitzmore) only scored three of her team-high 12 in the second half.  Vos collected eight of the team’s second half points.

The Fillies took a commanding 26-10 advantage into the half time locker room.  They held on in the second half, as Amboy’s offense ignited for 29 points.  The Clippers held Morrison to 15.  Doege collected 14 of her game-high 16 points.  Final score was Morrison 41, Amboy 39.

Morrison  15 – 11 – 6 – 9 = 41

Amboy      8 – 2 – 13 – 16 = 39
