Morrison Filles were glad to welcome the Rockridge Lady Rockets to the Morrison Sports Complex on Thursday, April 6 and have the opportunity to avenge a Monday setback. They jumped on the visitors with two runs in the opening inning when Brooke Stralow singled and Jaeden Workman reached on an error. They both advanced a base on a wild pitch before Lauren Pannier scored them both with a single. The Fillies added a third run in the second inning on an Emma Melton triple followed an Eryn Young walk to increase the score to 3-0. The Rockets retaliated with two runs off Brooke Stralow as she gave up a double and two consecutive singles in the fourth inning. In the Rocket fifth, Lauren Pannier allowed one run when allowing two doubles.
The game was salted away in the fifth before the first out when Melton singled, advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Madison Steines and scored on a Workman single. Pannier advanced Workman and became a runner on a shortstop error and they both scored on an Emma Sitzmore double. Rockridge challenged in both the sixth and seventh inning, but the Fillies kept them from crossing the plate to earn a 6-3 win.
