United Township High School held their 6th Annual UTHS Girls Sprint Classic on Saturday, September 29, 2018. The following schools sent swim teams to compete: Macomb, Morrison, Newman Central, Rock Island, Sterling, and United Township. This Sprint Meet was a fun meet for the girls, as they were able to compete in shorter events than usual. The Fillies swimmers won all three relays in the meet: 100 Medley Relay; 100 Free Relay; 200 Free Relay. In addition to the win, the 200 Free Relay of Sydney, Sadie, and Sara Norman and Gracen Harmon set a new meet record, with a time of 1:46.33. Sydney Norman also set a new meet record in the 50 Fly with a time of 28.00. The Fillies placed second overall in the meet with 301 points, behind Sterling’s 337 points. The Fillies’ places and times follow.
