The Rock Island IHSA Girls Sectional Swim Meet was held at Rock Island High School, on Saturday, November 10, 2018. The Fillies had an outstanding meet and placed 6th out of 14 teams. Dunlap placed 1st with 265 points; Peoria Notre Dame was 2nd with 246; Moline scored 188 points for 3rd place; Rock Island was 4th with 180; Galesburg scored 120 points for 5th place; the Fillies placed 6th with 104 points. LaSalle-Peru, Peoria Richwoods, East Moline, Macomb, Quincy, Peru-St. Bede, Monmouth-Roseville, and Quincy Notre Dame also participated. The Fillies made it to the podium in all three relay events and in one individual event. Sadie, Sydney, and Sara Norman and Kate Henson placed 4th in the 200 Medley Relay, with a 1:56.28. Sadie Norman swam a 1:01.58 in the 100 Butterfly and placed 5th. Sadie, Sydney, and Sara Norman and Gracen Harmon placed 3rd in the 200 Free Relay with a 1:43.06. They also swam a 3:50.59 in the 400 Free Relay and placed 4th.
The Fillies are already looking forward to next year, as all the girls will be returning. Congratulations to the Fillies Co-op swimmers on a great season!
