Second Saturday in May is an initiative of the National Association of Letter Carriers, who sponsor the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Community members are urged to fill a “bag [with] healthy, non-perishable food items and place it by your mailbox, for your letter carrier to pick up and deliver to [a] food bank in your community.”
On Saturday, May 14, 2022, Morrison residents can donate items such as pasta, cereal, oatmeal, canola oil, peanut butter; canned goods, including beans, fruit, vegetables, soup, tuna in water, meat and sauce. Avoid glass containers.
Donations will be delivered to Morrison Charitable Food Pantry NFP, the former Morrison Friends Food Pantry, housed at Morrison United Methodist Church.
“Help us stamp out hunger. Spread the word.”
