The Volunteer Millers at de Immigrant Windmill will be beginning their sponsorship of their 2018 Tourism Events at the Windmill Cultural Center in Fulton, IL. Many of the events are hosted through a grant from the S.S. Flikkema Foundation to support the arts and sciences in the local area. Each month a programming event is offered.
On Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., the Fulton High School Speech Team will be performing several of its categorical selections. Most of these performances are only seen at competitive meets or contests among other high schools teams. This rare featured revue will allow the public to view the talents of our local youth as they prepare for competition.
Students spend countless hours selecting appropriate materials in an area of their expertise, hours of practice, and several long distance travels to compete at various levels among other high school students. The public is invited to come enjoy their talents and support their efforts.
The FHS Speech Team is coached by Allison Phillips, a former graduate of Fulton High School.
All sponsored programming is held at the Windmill Cultural Center, 111-10 Ave. in downtown Fulton, across from the authentic Dutch windmill. This event is free and open to the public. The facility is accessible to persons with disabilities. Light refreshments will be served following the presentation.
