Our Rotary Students of the Month for February 2016 were Kelsey Becker and Mason Muur.
Kelsey is the daughter of Nick and Steph Becker. She is involved in Student Council, serving as Secretary. She is also active with the B.L.I.N.D. program and the Key Club. In addition, Becker is on the Pons team. She is active in the youth group at her church. The group participated in storm relief restoration in Moore, OK, and Milwaukee, WI; this summer they will travel to North Carolina. Kelsey loves to dance. This fall she will attend Loyola University in Chicago, IL, to major in Business and Accounting.
Mason is the son of Todd and Pam Muur. He is active in sports: golf, football, basketball, and track and field. He helped with the backstage crew for the musical “The Wizard of Oz.” He is on the National Honor Society. Mason is a member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church youth group and is active with the Morrison Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has traveled on youth mission trips to the same locations as Kelsey, mentioned above. Mason is an avid runner, and he loves playing and watching sports. Muur plans to attend Central College in Pella, IA, and major in Business. He will also be on their track team.
