On 2-19-19 at 6:40 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies assisted Fulton Police with a domestic situation in the City of Fulton, IL. During the investigation, Whiteside County Deputies arrested Brandon L. Kemp, age 26 of Fulton for Possession of Methamphetamine. Kemp was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held on the felony charge. Clinton, IA, Police Department assisted on scene.
On 2/19/19 at 11:45 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near River Road and Stouffer Road, in Sterling, IL. Upon further investigation the passenger, Francisco C. Avecedo, age 20 of Sterling, was arrested on a Lee County Warrant for Failure to Appear-Contempt of Court. Acevedo was transported to the Sterling Police Department, where he was able to post bond and was released with a future court date. Assisting on scene were Sterling Police Department.
On 2-20-19 at 1:46 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to a motorist assist call on U. S. Route 30 near Melvin Road, rural Rock Falls, IL. During the course of the assistance, Deputies learned a passenger, Yolanda M. Burkhalter, age 41 of Burlington, IA, had a Cook County Warrant for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was taken into custody and remanded to the Whiteside County Jail, pending extradition to Cook County with no bond.
