Do you have a business idea? Morrison Area Development Corporation (MADC) is holding their first annual FastPitch Entrepreneur Contest. The contest seeks individuals looking for a chance to fulfill their dream of starting a business. MADC hopes that this will lead to the development of new enterprises and expansion of existing businesses within Morrison, IL.
MADC is asking for your help in spreading the good news about a new event coming to Morrison. This event is designed to help new businesses start in Morrison or expand. If you are not interested, please share this email with someone who might be.
Two FastPitch information sessions will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015, at noon and 6:30 p.m. at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison. Interested persons only need attend one of the sessions. Individuals will receive a flash drive containing contest rules, materials to start working on, and informational items. Submission deadline for proposals is Thursday, October 15.
Cash and in-kind donations (such as advertising and a Chamber membership) will be awarded to the winners. The contest is open to startups and businesses that have been open for fewer than 18 months. Winning businesses must take root in Morrison, IL.
