Farmers National Bank wants to entice the public to attend local high school events, by sponsoring “Family Night Basketball.”
On Monday, November 21, at Prophetstown High School and Friday, December 2, 2016, at Morrison High School, all students in grades K-12 will be admitted free to the home basketball games.
Every game offers exciting basketball action by the local youth, but this rivalry of neighboring schools will have the “added” activities of halftime games for the students.
The Morrison game will feature the halftime “Chuck A Truck.” Students toss a rubber truck at a mid-court target, in hopes of earning cash for their accuracy. The Prophetstown evening of fun features a “Chuck A Buck” game where students toss a ‘buck’ at the same rewarding target.
These games are entertaining, but should not overshadow other student groups that perform at every home game.
- The Morrison pep band is one of the area’s elite.
- Morrison Pons are annual contenders for State dance honors.
- Cheerleading units are exciting, as they perfect acrobatic and motivating cheers.
Remember, November 21 and December 2 are your “Family Fun Basketball” nights in Prophetstown and Morrison, thanks to Farmers National Bank.
