The Morrison Farmers’ Market Committee is now accepting vendor applications for 2016.

The committee is searching for local growers and vendors who sell products, including vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, flowers, herbs, preserves, and baked goods.  Artisans and vendors who sell unique products are accepted, too.

Opening Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, with closing on Saturday, September 24.  An evening market is planned for Wednesday, July 27, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in downtown Morrison, IL.  Market hours will remain the same, Saturdays from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., rain or shine.

The 2016 market application is now available online at morrisonfarmersmarket.com.  Click the “About” page.  If you are interested in applying, please read through the Rules & Regulations first, to see if you qualify and can agree to them, before submitting an application.

Full-time vendors who send in their application and fee prior to Opening Day receive an early-bird discount.  Market spaces will be assigned, once all prior seasonal applications have been received.

For market information, call 815-772-4874 or 815-772-2018.

As a reminder, all dairy, meat, poultry, eggs, and food vendors must be in compliance with any governmental regulations and have acquired all necessary licenses, permits, etc., prior to selling at the market.

Furnish copies to the Market Committee, before entrance to the market as a vendor.

Please contact the Whiteside County Health Department Environmental Health at 815-772-7411, extension 104 for information.
