Whiteside County students will have help paying college tuition during the 2016-2017 school year, courtesy of scholarships awarded by the Whiteside County Farm Bureau® Foundation. This year, the Whiteside County Farm Bureau® Foundation, the charitable arm of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau®, and Whiteside County Farm Bureau’s Young Leaders awarded $15,500 to five students. Each is pursuing a degree in agriculture-related fields. Awards were based on student academic ability, scholastic achievement, community and leadership involvement, and career goals.
“We are pleased to invest in these bright, young minds and are confident they represent a strong future for agriculture here in Illinois,” said Doug Kuehl, President, Whiteside County Farm Bureau® Foundation.
Whiteside County Farm Bureau® Foundation’s 2016-2017 scholars are listed. The first dollar amount is from the Foundation; any second amount is from the Young Leaders.
