With hands clutched on the steering wheels and determination in their eyes, 45 youngsters took their turns at their chance to take home the top prizes, in the second round of the Fair’s Kid’s Tractor Pedal Pulls on Saturday.

Pullers showed their muscle as they maneuvered their modified trucks and tractors in front of the Grandstand during the traditional “Pullers” event. Winners placed in the class divisions sanctioned by the Illini State Pullers.

24-25 / ELECTIONS
Five members of the Whiteside County Fair Board of Directors were elected to three-year terms on Saturday, August 17, 2024, the final day of the five-day Fair. They were elected by ballots cast by Exhibitors and Season Ticket holders.
The Morrison, IL, Directors elected were Dan Heusinkveld; Brian Oostenryk, Sr.; Rob Vegter; Paul Vock; Mike Wiersema.
FRIEND OF THE FAIR
The special recognition was awarded to Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, before the grandstand audience. Names are printed left-to-right, with Fair Board members wearing burgundy shirts, and Sheriff’s Office personnel in tan.
