Thursday, December 31, 2015, is the FACE Holiday Challenge Match deadline. FACE’s Holiday Challenge Match has already resulted in about $4000 in donations, thereby earning another $4000 from matching funds. There is
still time for donors to contribute to this challenge, with $3500 in matching funds available to be “claimed”
All donations/matches increase the permanent resources for grants throughout the community–those grants given by FACE through its annual grant cycle. The D. S. Flikkema Foundation has pledged to match up to $5000 in donations. Anonymous donors have pledged to match up to an additional $2500.
That means that all donations to the FACE COMMUNITY IMPACT ENDOWMENT made between Sunday, November 1, and the end of the calendar year will be matched dollar-for-dollar, until that combined $7500 in matching funds has been claimed.
Every year since 2008, FACE has been able to give out thousands of dollars in grants to numerous local organizations. The size of FACE’s Community Impact Endowment is important, because it provides a permanent source of funds for FACE grants. The larger the endowment is, the greater the distribution amount for FACE grants year after year.
There are two ways to make a donation.
- A check should be made payable to FACE COMMUNITY IMPACT ENDOWMENT, dated no later than December 31, 2015. Checks should be mailed directly to CFGRB, 852 Middle Road, Suite 100, Bettendorf, IA 52722. They must be postmarked by no later than December 31, 2015. Please note on the check if the donation is to be anonymous or enclose a note indicating this.
- Online, go to https://cfgrb.givebig.org/c/Funds/a/CFGRB-191, fill in the amount you wish to donate, and click on the orange DONATE button. You will get the secure screen to fill in credit card information.
