Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge and the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service will co-host a birding tour into the closed area of Lost Mound, on Saturday, December 22, 2018. Tours are free, but seating is limited.

This is an excellent opportunity to travel through the refuge with experienced birders. Learn about the history of Lost Mound, formerly the Savanna Army Depot.
Participants are to meet at 8:45 a.m., at the Lost Mound Office parking lot, which is located at 3159 Crim Road, Savanna, IL. The bus will leave promptly at 9:00 a.m. and will return at noon.
