On Tuesday, March 10, 2015, Morrison Elementary Schools are sponsoring a community blood drive from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Southside Elementary. The location is 100 Academic Drive, Morrison, IL, The drive will be held in conjunction with Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. Enter the lobby and turn left at the hall; the cafeteria is at the end of the corridor. The blood dirive is open to the public.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (or 16 with parental permission form available through www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. or MVRBC Donor Card is required to donate. For questions about eligibility, please call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at 800-747-5401. Donors who last gave blood on or before November 17, 2014, are eligible to give at this drive.
Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors.

In our area, MVRBC is the exclusive provider to Morrison Community Hospital, as well as patients at hospitals in Clinton, IA, Geneseo, IL, and the Quad Cities.
