Eleanor M. Larson-Nice, 93, of Morrison, IL, died Thursday, August 24, 2017, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL.
Eleanor was born October 10, 1923, in Clyde Township, IL, to Roy S. and Elizabeth E. (Montgomery) Swanson. She was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a 1941 graduate of Morrison High School. Eleanor married Paul L. Larson on November 1, 1945, in Morrison. He died May 24, 1980. She later married Ellsworth P. Nice on February 14, 1988, in Morrison. He died January 23, 1992. Eleanor was employed by General Electric in Morrison. She later worked as a sales representative for Sears & Roebuck in Sterling, for five years. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison and the church’s Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the Morrison Wa-Tan-Ye Club.
Survivors include three sons, Duane (Diane) Larson of Carlsbad, CA, Warren (Aisha Cecil) Larson of Evergreen Park, IL, and Marvin (Becky) Larson of Rowlett, TX; four stepdaughters, Elaine Ballard, Janice (David) Mayes, Patricia (Darrell) Onken, and Kathy (Tom) Anderson, all of Morrison; one stepdaughter-in-law, Patty Nice of Morrison; six grandchildren, Christine (Michael) Leech, Jeffrey (Julie) Larson, Marc (Elizabeth) Larson, Gregory Larson, Jason (Julie) Hoffman, and Amy (John) Moore; many step-grandchildren including Iyana and Isaiah Moore; 16 great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Arwen, Ian, and Michael Leech, Jasmine, Isaiah, Jayden, Levi, and Leila Larson, Shelby and Noelle Hoffman, Carter and Garret Moore, Jacob, Logan, and Olivia Larson; many step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Doris) Swanson of Shannon, IL.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Paul Larson and Ellsworth Nice; three brothers, Leslie, LeRoy, and Howard Swanson; one stepson, Donald Nice.

VISITATION: 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 27, 2017, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
