Eilien Anderson, 85, of Erie, IL, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society–Prophets Riverview Center in Prophetstown, IL, where she had most recently been a resident.
Beverly Eilien was born September 4, 1931, in Lyndon, IL, the daughter of Claude L. and Ruth E. (Harrington) Kniskern. She married Clarence V. Anderson on February 11, 1951, at the Lyndon Methodist Church. Eilien helped out on their farm and was an active mother for her three children. She was a 4-H leader, member of the Eastern Star, and longtime member of Erie United Methodist Church. Eilien enjoyed flower gardening and keeping up their yard. She liked playing golf and belonged to the Lake Erie Country Club.
She is survived by her three children, Tom (Claris) Anderson, Geneseo, IL, Chris (Herb) Hall, Erie, Edward (Karen) Anderson, Morrison, IL; grandchildren, Casey (Brandon) Stichter, Corrie (Galem) Searles, Jacob (Ellina) Hall, Kyle (Jana) Anderson, Sarah (Don) Hock, Cory (Rebekah) Anderson, Nick Anderson; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Joshua Hock, Helen and Alice Anderson, Erin and Abigail Stichter, Logan, Miles, and Blaine Searles; a step-brother, Richard Larkins, Clinton, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Clarence in 2003.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, December 19, 2016, at Erie United Methodist Church, Erie, IL.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., until the start of service at the church.
Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Erie United Methodist Church or the Good Samaritan Society–Prophets Riverview Center, Prophetstown, IL.
