The Annual Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Kiwanis Park, 700 block of N. Genesee Street, Morrison, IL, on Saturday, April 4, 2015.
A firetruck will deliver the Easter Bunny to the park at 9:45 a.m. There will be a brief opportunity to capture a photo before egg-gathering fun begins at 10:00.
Bring a container and, if desired, a means to take photos.
Age groups are
2 and under
3 and 4
5 and 6
7, 8, and 9.
Throughout the year, long-time, dedicated Kiwanian Kenny Huizenga purchases candy, stuffed animals, and prizes for the children. Envelopes containing money are among the Kiwanis gifts. Parents should be sure to read any paper notes inside the eggs before departing. The Easter Bunny will award the larger prizes after each heat.
Sponsors who support the Kiwanis Egg Hunt with prizes are DQ Grill & Chill and Hardee’s, and Kathy Fredericks supplies candy alternative.
Morrison Fire Department provides the fire engine and driver to bring the Easter Bunny to Kiwanis Park.
The Easter Bunny and escort are Morrison High School Key Clubbers.
Prior to the event, on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Kiwanis adults and Key Clubbers will team with residents of Resthave Retirement and Nursing Home, 408 Maple Avenue, to pack eggs with candy, treat tokens, and prize notes. In the past 1500 colorful, plastic eggs were filled!
These are recycled, so please empty the egg contents into your child’s container, and deposit the eggs at the picnic shelter for another year of fun.
Key Clubbers will distribute nearly 1600 Easter eggs at the park.
