Edward A. Tucker, 63, of Fulton, IL, died Friday, May 29, 2015, at his home.
Ed was born September 14, 1951, in Morrison, IL, to Robert S. and Wilma L. (Dykhuizen) Tucker. He was educated in the Albany Grade School and was a 1969 graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. He attended Sauk Valley Community College and received a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. He received a law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, TX. Ed married Bonnie Miller in Chicago, IL. He was employed as an attorney by various law firms before opening his own law practice in Houston, TX. He was an environmentalist and avid nature-lover. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
Survivors include his best friend and companion, Sandy Huisenga; two daughters, Elizabeth (Aqee) Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jessica Tucker of Houston; one son, Eric (Katie) Tucker of League City, TX; four grandchildren, Nathan and Noah Jackson; Henry and Charles Tucker; two sisters, Linda (John) Port of Morrison and Laurie (Mark) Spain of Winnebago, IL; four brothers, Robert “Gene” (Jeanie) Tucker of Hillsdale, WI, Charles (Liz) Tucker of Fulton, James (Darlene) Tucker of Albany, IL, and John (Mary) Tucker of Fulton; many nieces and nephews; two stepsisters, Nadine Morgan of Morrison and Lois Barnhart of Dixon, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Dorothy; one brother, William Tucker; one stepbrother, Richard Dykhuizen.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
