The Morrison Lions Foundation has collaborated on an exciting Eagle Scout service project with Morrison Boy Scout Nick Kaufman and the City of Morrison, IL. The Lions are fundraising to build a 24′ x 32′ picnic pavilion at Morrison Sports Complex. It will cost $16,000 and include a concrete floor and “birdproof” ceiling for shade and sheltered eating.
To raise funds, the service organization will host an upcoming Lions Club Pancake Breakfast, on Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m., at DQ Grill & Chill, 200 N. Sawyer Road, Morrison.
- Order pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and coffee, milk, or juice,
- Eat in the restaurant; order at the drive-up window; purchase a convenient carry-out meal.
- The cost is a donation. Supplemental funding is provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
Donors unable to attend the breakfast can offer support by contacting Steve Wroble at 815-772-2476. Or to donate to the Pavilion Project, download a Donor Form from the club’s website at www.e-clubhouse.org/sites/morrisonil.
