The Galena[, IL,] Lady Pirates visited the Morrison Sports Complex on Thursday, April 6, 2023, and were welcomed by Bella Duncan and the Morrison Fillies. The Pirates were sent home after being held to only two hits in a 7-0 defeat.
Filly Bella Duncan allowed the Lady Pirates only two hits, while striking out 17 in her seven-inning complete-game performance. While Duncan controlled the Pirate offense, the Filly offense was collecting 12 hits, including triples by Duncan and Bayleigh Brewer and a double by Kiyah Wolber.
The Filly season record improved to six wins against four losses.
