You have a second opportunity to help Santa and Mrs. Claus and their elf fill the Morrison Fire Department vehicles, before departure later this month to local homes. On Saturday, December 7, 2013, simply gather unwrapped, new toys and gifts and drive to the fire station, 206 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL, between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
Northside and Southside Schools Principal Joe Robbins noted that these “Toys for Tots” gifts serve Morrison young people across a wide age range, from infants through teens. It all depends on the make-up of the families who need a bit of help at Christmas time.
Requests for 80 needy children have been submitted to date, Brenda White said. She will accept more. Contact her if you know a child who should be included in the toy program:
- Northside School: 815-772-2153
- Southside School: 815-772-2183

On Saturday, December 7, firemen will be present to receive your donations, as you drive in comfort through the station. They will match each child with a gift and wrap the surprise for personal, in-home, “Express Claus” delivery.
