Dorothy K. Bielema, 93, of Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, Morrison, IL, died Sunday, June 30, 2024, at Resthave.

Dorothy was born July 26, 1930, in Fenton, IL, to Frank and Tena (Pessman) Feldt.  She was educated at the Mount Hope School in rural Whiteside County and then graduated from Fulton High School.  On August 30, 1950, she married Dwayne P. Bielema in Garden Plain, IL.  Dwayne died on March 25, 2001.  Dorothy worked for Fidelity Life Insurance Company in Fulton, IL.  She then was employed in the cafeteria for 25 years with the Thomson, IL, School District.  Lastly, she worked at the former Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton.  She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton.  Dorothy enjoyed sewing and cooking.  Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Ron) Merema of Fulton, Kathy (Larry) Hofman of Sanborn, IA, and Beth (Dale) Wiersema of Fulton; sons, Edwin (Deb) Bielema and Jim (Kay) Bielema, both of Fulton; 15 grandchildren, Jeff (Karen) Merema, Mike (Amanda) Merema, Katie (Eric) Roquet, Karla (Aaron) Klein, Kevin (Ann) Hofman, Kyle Hofman, and Kendal Hofman, Ashley (Spencer) Beekman, Kari (Levi) Ross, Nicholas Bielema, Jennifer (Teddy) Benfit, Julie (Chris) Cramer, Erica (Anthony) Motroni, Kristin Bielema, Craig (Vanessa) Bielema; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Vander Eide of Fulton, Ruth (Don) Dykema of Morrison, Arlene Dykstra of Morrison, and Karen (Allen) Tiesman of Fulton; brother, Paul Feldt of Clinton, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne P. Bielema.

Her Funeral service will be at 10:30 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Fulton, IL, Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, officiated by Ken Renkes.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.

Memorials to First Christian Reformed Church and Unity Christian School have been established.
