dorothy kramerDorothy E. Kramer, 96, of Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison, IL, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Resthave Nursing Home.

Dorothy was born February 27, 1917, in Garden Plain Township, IL, to Louis and Agnes (Sikkema) Pessman.  She was educated in the Mt. Hope School of rural Whiteside County.  Dorothy married Clarence Kramer on January 20, 1939, in Sterling, IL.  He died September 19, 1991.  She was employed by Vend-Omack in Morrison for several years.  Dorothy was a member of Morrison Christian Reformed Church and the church’s Ladies Aid Society and Sunshine Committee.  She also served as Sunday School teacher and secretary.  Dorothy enjoyed flower gardening and canning.

Survivors include one son, Wayne (Ruth) Kramer of Orange City, IA; four grandchildren, Jessica Kramer, Daniel (Shannon) Kramer, David (Megan) Kramer, and Katie (Nathan) Sitzmann; eight great-grandchildren, Bailey, Logan, and Lucas Kramer, Larkin, Hunter, and Peyton Kramer, Harper Kramer, and Avery Sitzmann; two sisters, Harriet Wierema of Phoenix, AZ, and Ella Kramer of Fulton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; one great-grandson, Blake Sitzmann; one sister, Julia Beveroth; two brothers, Homer Pessman and Lewis Pessman.

FUNERAL SERVICE:  11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

OFFICIATING:  Rev. John Wanders, Interim Pastor, Morrison Christian Reformed Church

VISITATION:  9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT:  Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL
