Dorothy A. Tiesman, 77, of Lyndon, IL, died Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Resthave Home in Morrison, IL.
Dorothy was born April 8, 1941, in Sterling, IL, to George R. and Mary A. (Ernst) Swanson. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School. She married Robert W. Tiesman on July 18, 1980, in Morrison. Dorothy was the manager of the FS Gas Station in Morrison for more than 20 years. Dorothy and her husband enjoyed camping. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Bob; one daughter, Angie (Ron) Kuykendall of Erie, IL; two sons, Barry (Jane) Houzenga of Morrison and Bob Houzenga; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dawn Stage of Fulton, IL; one step-son, Tom (Debbie) Tiesman of Lyndon; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Patricia Fax of Onalaska, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one step=son-in-law, Ray Stage; one brother-in-law, Jim Fax.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma Renkes Funeral Home.
There will be no funeral service.
