The newest and longest anticipated eating and drinking establishment will open Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, 2014, in a manner owner Co-owner Bob Vaughn describes as “a soft opening.” Over the next two or three weeks the Vaughns and staff will ease into full mode.
For now, try Donnybrook Bakery Cafe’s sample plates–either hot or cold–which will be served to the lunch crowd from11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Debby Vaughn then will offer appetizer plates from 3:00 to 6:00.
“These pair well with our wines and special brewery-bottled craft beers,” stated Bob.
Carol Wolf, above, stands in the future bar and dining room almost a year and a half ago, The green tin ceiling was installed, as were rebricked walls and stud framing, Architectural drawings sketched the future–which is in place.now. You will see the framed rooms transformed into a fashionable confortable pub.
The south entrance and sidewalk on W. Market Street is being transformend. Soon outdoor cafe tables will be attractive eating spots to gather with friends. A ramp will enable anyone to enter the building easily. For now, use the lovely front doors.
