Before winter temperatures return, preparations are being made to ensure local children are protected from the cold. Morrison United Methodist Church has begun the 6th annual Coats for Morrison Kids program.
If you know of a family that needs a coat for their child/children, please give them the following information.
The event will be held at the church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Two pick-up times are available:
- 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
- 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Bring donations of new or CLEAN, gently-used coats and jackets, in school-age children’s sizes, to the church at any time Monday the 13th, Tuesday the 14th, or Wednesday the 15th of October. Enter the west door by the parking lot and drop your donation into the box tagged for coats.
Helpers will be needed at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15, to arrange the donated coats.
Additional helpers are encouraged during the open hours of Thursday, October 16, and at 7:00 p.m. to pack up. Please assist whenever it is most convenient.
