Donald F. Stralow, 90, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, September 4, 2017, in Madison, WI.
Donald was born November 3, 1926, in Morrison, the son of Herman and Elise (Hayen) Stralow. He served in the Army from August 1944 to December 1946 during World War II, and in the Army Signal Corps from 1950 to 1951 in Korea. Donald married Betty Stone on August 2, 1975. He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church. He was an engineer in Morrison at General Electric Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1986.
He is survived by his wife; stepsons, Robert (Deborah) Stone of Morrison and David Stone of House Springs, MO; stepdaughter, Deborah (Christopher) Boles of Sun Prairie, WI; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Mary McDearmon of Tucson, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Clarence, Glenn, Harold, Herman, and Robert; sisters, Helen Stralow, Bernice Rounds, and Elisabeth Cooper; a stepdaughter, Kathryn E. Biller; a stepson, John R. Stone.
Cremation rites were accorded.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017.
There will be a Masonic funeral service at 12:15 p.m. and a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 301 W. South Street, Morrison, IL. A luncheon will follow.
Graveside service with military honors will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2017, at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.
